It’s hard to fathom the immense intellectual dishonesty of someone like “Ms. Daisy Cutter” (http://freethoughtblogs.com/pharyngula/2012/06/19/how-its-done-2/comment-page-1/#comment-370047 and subsequent), but it’s quite an illustration of the “partisan feminism” that has become all too common at Pharyngula, Butterflies & Wheels, Greg Laden’s blog, etc. To even dare to mention that some man somewhere has been discriminated against because of gender gets you tagged, even with all your caveats, as an enemy of women. Clearly Ms. Daisy Cutter’s derangement and that of partisan feminism generally is an attenuated consequence of the long-term oppression of women and is understandable as a spilling over of righteous anger, but it’s tragic to see how PZ et. al. enable this sort of thing with their casual tossing about of “MRA” accusations, demonizations of people like ERV, and generally taking an ideological rather than rational view.

Agreed on Ms. Daily Cutter. As I point out in my reply to her on PZ’s site, she’s doing some serious misrepresenting. But I’d be wary of generalising, myself – I’ve found things to strongly disagree with across all the sites you mention, though it’s often the commentariat, rather than the authors, who stoke the fires…

I have seen numerous specific instances of those authors doing heavy stoking.
